Do not get surprised to know that many of the City Council men were unaware of the new scheme for employee insurance proposed to be introduced in HOBART. As per the scheme cost is almost doubled for individuals and tripled for families. Some are of the opinion that the workers are overburdened, and others insisting the workers to meet the cost for their own health. Some others want to include it as a benefit to the employees. In all it will fit if we say that health insurance is not recognized as it should have been.

By shifting health insurance burden, employers are shooting themselves in the foot
High cost of health insurance has forced employers to shirk from bearing their share of the health insurance cover of their employees. The share of Americans covered by health insurance at work has been consistently falling. More and more employers are opting for cheaper individual health insurance cover over group insurance cover. No change is expected in this scenario until the law intervenes to make health insurance more affordable.
