Nonstandard Workers At Risk!

According to an article written by Robert Preidt, a high percentage of people (70-80%) employed as part-time workers do not possess employer-based health insurance. This figure is quite alarming as many of these workers are not employed in a full time job, and might not have access to money needed to pay for medical bills if they get sick.

His research also found that standard workers, or workers employed full time, are more likely to possess medical insurance through their employer. Preidt also discovered that 40 % of part-time or nonstandard workers admitted to not having any health insurance during the previous year. More details and Preidt's recommendations on how this probelm can be solved can be found at Forbes.
